Piper-Heidsieck Vintage 2018 is an intense, luminous, and expressive vintage. Its nose delivers notes of nectarine, red fruit, mocha, and fresh almond, with a hint of smoky notes. The palate unveils an explosion of fruit with raspberry, pineapple, and paprika aromas.
Food Pairings
Enjoy with canapés such as sundried tomatoes, anchovies, basil and olive oil toasts or with a maint dish such as langoistine tartare with chilli, lime and oyster leaf.
Vintage Notes
Following a mild and very wet winter, spring temperatures were well above seasonal norms, allowing the vines to develop.Then, the warm, dry summer allowed the grapes to ripen quickly with extraordinary quality and quantity. The 2018 harvest came early, producing wines of remarkable fruitiness and elegance.

- Settling: Static clarification of juices

- Ageing on lees: Higher than 50 months
- Ageing after disgorgement: Minimum of 6 months

Vintage Notes
Following clement weather in early 2014, an early spring flaunted gorgeous flowering. After particularly cool and humid weather at the beginning of summer, the sun reappeared in mid-August for an Indian summer that lasted until September. The 2014 vintage boasts Chardonnays with sensational crispness and fruity, sophisticated Pinots Noirs.

Tasting Notes
Golden in color, with crystalline bubbles. On the nose, fresh citrus notes of lime or tangerine leaves, with warm, smoked notes. A touch of almond then offers a voluptuous, vivid vibrancy. On the palate, notes of pomegranate and almond open with the expression of a plush texture of smoked tea or freshly harvested honey, and the juice of ripe black cherry and blueberries. The long, silky finish is perfect both as a prelude or the accompaniment to a gourmet meal.
