Our 2021 Los Carneros Chardonnay is expressive and approachable; showcasing balanced fruit, beautiful crushed seashell minerality, lingering acidity and rich flavors and aromas of caramelized white pear, fresh fuji and golden delicious apple, apple blossoms and torched crème brûlée.
Vintage Notes
The 2021 vintage was a near-perfect growing season with cool weather through July into early August. We then saw ideal warm weather conditions until the last fruit was resting safely under the watchful eyes of winemaking teams all over the Valley. Throughout the Carneros sub-appellations we saw very even ripening, harvest of our 2021 Chardonnay vineyards took place September 20th and 21st . Small berry and cluster size combined with the long ripening season contributing to the development of delicate, rich, beautiful Chardonnay of exceptional quality and character.

Vintage Notes
The 2018 vintage was a wonderful reminder of just how special and ideal a Harvest in Napa Valley can be. The near-perfect growing season started later than previous years and saw ideal weather conditions until the last fruit was resting safely under the watchful eyes of winemaking teams all over the Valley. The challenging heat and drizzly summer days of the 2017 growing season became just a memory as the beautifully set clusters of 2018 fruit ripened evenly in the cool mornings and warm afternoons. Our Chardonnay grapes are sourced predominantly from the cool, breezy, sun-drenched, western-facing slopes of Los Carneros, and the 2018 Vintage saw us harvest many of our blocks the week of September 24th. The cool, even ripening season delayed harvest in most regions by a full two weeks.
Winemaking Notes
With an almost perfect fruit set in the spring and cool moderate summer temperatures that led in to fall, the 2018 season yielded perfectly ripened Chardonnay. This wine underwent simultaneous alcoholic and malolactic barrel fermentation, followed by 7 months sur lie in 33% new French oak.

With the cooling Carneros breezes providing relief from the record breaking heat events of August and September we were able to perfectly ripen our Chardonnay. Our 2017 Los Carneros Chardonnay is expressive and approachable; showcasing balanced fruit, lingering acidity and rich flavors and aromas of caramelized white pear, fresh fuji and golden delicious apple, apple blossoms and torched crème bruleé.
Vintage Notes
From record-breaking heat to drizzly summer days, the 2017 growing season was challenging for winemakers. Throughout the valley, temperatures soared well over 100 degrees for multiple days in late August and early September causing a flurry of activity in the vineyards and wineries. We source our Chardonnay grapes from the cooler Napa and Sonoma regions within Los Carneros . The 2017 Vintage saw us harvest our first Chardonnay on September 9 and our last fruit on September 24 across the sweeping Carneros western slopes. We count ourselves very lucky to have safely completed our Chardonnay Harvest well ahead of the October fires.
