2016 Aigua de Llum de Vall Llach

James Suckling, James Suckling, August 2018

“This has some candied-fruit character and a certain amount of structure, with some tannin on the finish. But there’s a hint of browning apple alongside the candied-fruit note. Drink now.”

2016 Aigua de Llum de Vall Llach

Thomas Matthews, Wine Spectator, September 2018

“Peach and almond flavors mingle in this juicy white, backed by grapefruit and mineral notes. Not overtly expressive, but the rich texture shows focus and energy. Viognier. Drink now through 2022. 25 cases imported.”

2016 Aigua de Llum de Vall Llach

Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, July 2018

“The one white wine they produce with Viognier grapes is the 2016 Aigua de Llum, made with the grapes from 22-year-old vines on slate soils. Half of the wine fermented in 300-liter oak barrels and the rest in stainless steel. It matured in 225- and 300-liter oak barrels for four months. It felt very different from what I had tasted previously, quite young and fruit-driven, with some floral notes and simple aromas of white fruit along with a spicy and smoky touch. It didn't really show any Viognier character and came through as a straightforward, fresh white. 1,200 bottles were filled in June 2017.”

2015 Tinto Pesquera Crianza

James Suckling, James Suckling, August 2018

“Sliced fresh fruit here. Notes of blueberries, dark plums and blackberries. Smells like grape must. Full-bodied with round tannins, but slightly lean and astringent on the finish. Drink now.”

“Aromas of blackcurrants, crushed violets, rosemary and thyme. Full body, good concentration and silky tannins with a pure and vivid finish. Drink or hold.”

2015 Condado de Haza Crianza

Thomas Matthews, Wine Spectator, September 2018

“Cherry, red plum and currant flavors are ripe and juicy in this bright red, supported by firm tannins and citrusy acidity that give way to a vanilla- and floral-accented finish. Offers a fresh fruit core, with solid structure. Drink now through 2025. 4,000 cases imported.”

2015 Laurenz V. Forbidden Grüner Veltliner

Anne Krebiehl, Wine Enthusiast, September 2016

“Notes of red apple and herbal savor lead to an even fruitier, fresh palate of easy lightness. This is all about that fresh, ripe apple flavor in all its honest, fresh-faced appeal. Daringly off dry, the merest suggestion of sweetness boosts all the delicious apple notes and makes this very, very fruity. Drink soon”

2015 Idus de Vall Llach

Thomas Matthews, Wine Spectator, January 2022

“Mountain herb and loamy earth notes frame the core of black cherry, espresso and mineral flavors in this focused red. The texture is plush yet fresh, with tangerine acidity and light, firm tannins. Carignan and Garnacha. Drink now through 2025.”

2008 Tinto Pesquera Millenium Reserva

James Suckling, July 2017

“Smoky elements with a wealth of dark rich plum fruits. The freshness is impressive for the nearly ten years of age here. This wine has a lot to offer. The palate has dense tannins but is very focused. Impressive.”
