Chris Nguyen

Pricing Manager

Chris Nguyen was born in Saigon, Vietnam, but after 12 years him and his family migrated to the United States, landing in Seattle and then moving to San Jose, where he has been since. Chris studied Business Management at San Jose State University, receiving a bachelor’s degree. He has been in the retail business for 20 years, but his passion for spirits and alcohol blossomed while he was working at Lucky’s Supermarket as a liquor pricer. Soon after, he realized that he wanted to spend more time in the spirits and liquor industry, which led him to join Young’s Market. Chris has now been in the alcohol industry for about 10 years and is ecstatic to continue this journey with FOLIO.

Prior to joining FOLIO, Chris was at a start-up E-Grocer called Weee! where he was able to help the company increase revenue 3x over a span of two years, utilizing pricing strategies, new market entry promotions and assortment. Chris’s main goals at FOLIO are to help the company grow further and to also learn about the business side of manufacturing.

Chris, his wife, and his two sons love to travel. Their favorite place to visit would be Maui, Hawaii, where they have been three times in the last five years. Chris enjoys fishing, watching 49ers football and seeing the Warriors win championships.
