“Pear drop and freshly cut Conference pear peel fill the nose with fruity, easy freshness. It is this fresh, vivid bright fruit that takes center stage on a creamy, smooth and slender palate. It shows some of the varietal pithiness towards the dry finish.”

2020 Susana Balbo Signature Rosé

Vinous, June 2021

“Susana Balbo Signature Rosé 2020 is a blend of Malbec with 40% Pinot Noir from the Uco Valley. Coppery in hue with a yeasty, herbal nose of sweet and sour cherry, in the mouth it begins with a little fizz followed by good, tight malic acidity and tension and a deliciously fragrant finish. A delightful rosé.”

2020 Susana Balbo Signature Rosé

Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, March 2021

“The very pale and subtle 2020 Susana Balbo Signature Rosé was produced with 60% Malbec and 40% Pinot Noir in a style that makes it feel closer to a white than a light red. Pure and subtle flavors of rose petals, moderate alcohol and very good acidity. One of the finest rosé wines from Argentina. It's dry and chalky, very serious. 22,400 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2020.”

2019 Susana Balbo Signature Rosé

October 2020

“Altamira’s high elevation big, stony vineyards and desert climate with abundance of sunlight adds to the personality of the Malbec grown there. The blend of 60% Malbec and 40% Pinot Noir is quite a duo and this textural beauty, sourced from over 3800 feet above sea level, shows both structure and grace. Its light onion skin hue may look pale, but the jasmine, rose petals and woodsy perfume defines a stronger character. Clean with an underlying chalky minerality, its fresh notes of watermelon, white flowers and strawberries strike a chord with crackling acidity. Nervy and delicious.”
