2020 M. Chapoutier Belleruche Rouge
Jeb Dunnuck, Jeb Dunnuck, January 2022
“The 2020 Côtes Du Rhône Belleruche sports a medium salmon hue as well as a vibrant, crisp nose of orange blossom, strawberry, and chalky minerality. This clean, fresh, medium-bodied, and delicious rosé is ideal for a hot summer day.”

2019 M. Chapoutier La Bernardine Rouge
Jeb Dunnuck, Jeb Dunnuck, October 2020
“Leading off the 2019s from bottle, the entry-level 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape La Bernardine (80% Grenache, 15% Syrah, and the rest Mourvèdre) offers a Provençal, spicy, morello cherry, and garrigue-scented perfume to go with a medium to full-bodied, ripe yet also savory style on the palate. Drink it over the coming decade.”

2021 Donnafugata Sherazade
Monica Larner, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, May 2023
“The Donnafugata 2021 Sicilia Nero d'Avola Sherazade offers a fresh, mid-weight style with an abundance of cherry and purple fruits. Nero d'Avola reflects a sense of place, and don't be surprised if you pick up aromas of roasted Sicilian eggplant or toasted fennel seeds. This is an entry-level red made without oak, but it makes a fine partner to Italian take-out dinners or pizza. Actually, pair it with a Sicilian caponata. This is a big but well-priced production of 160,000 bottles.”

2021 M. Chapoutier La Ciboise Rouge
James Suckling, James Suckling, May 2023
“A fruity nose of red cherries, currants, blueberries, dried thyme and baking spices. It’s medium-bodied with firm tannins. Juicy core of cherries at the center with a supple touch. Rather fluid with some dried thyme towards the finish. Drink now.”

2010 Isole e Olena Vin Santo del Chianti Classico DOC
Jancis Robinson, JancisRobinson.com, May 2023
“Light amber. Lifted and with a peppery tingle on the nose. Caramel, apricot and candied orange. Lush caramel and apricot palate followed by burned-orange notes, toasted hazelnuts and bitter almond. Intense, deep and sweet, yet impeccably balanced. Sensational length. ”

2021 Oberon Merlot, Napa Valley
Jim Gordon, Wine Enthusiast, September 2023
“Enticing, spicy oak aromas and vivid red and black fruit flavors highlight this vibrant, well-structured wine. Moderate tannins and bright raspberry and black cherry flavors fill out the palate while the addition of 10% Syrah and 2% Zinfandel contributes some nice layering.”

2021 Oberon Chardonnay, Los Carneros
Jim Gordon, Wine Enthusiast, July 2023
“A tasty combination of ample ripe fruits and light, complex baking spices are backed by good acidity in this balanced and lively wine. Vanilla and nutmeg notes top Bosc pear and Pippin apple flavors that are delicious and persistent.”

2021 Oberon Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa County
Tasting Panel, June 2023
“This is a very versatile take on Cabernet that is sufficiently soft to prove very enjoyable for cocktail-style sipping before dinner but with enough flavor and tannic backbone to hang in with a steak at the table. A bit of sweetness on top of the fruit’s natural ripeness buffers the tannins for the sipping side of that equation, yet there’s enough blackberry and Bing cherry flavor to power through the charring on the steak. This is a Cabernet that holds out multiple aspects, and one or two of them will manage to appeal to almost everyone. That’s no small feat. ”

2022 Oberon Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley
Tasting Panel, June 2023
“Sauvignon Blanc from California’s North Coast appellations seems to turn out best when vintners don’t try to wrestle the variety into a style reminiscent of either Sancerre or Marlborough. This is medium-bodied and fully ripe, thanks to all that California sun, with open fruit flavors recalling white melon above all – but with a beam of bright acidity shining through it as a reminder that this is Sauvignon Blanc, regardless of the absence of notable grassiness or minerality. ”

2019 Animo Heritage Sauvignon Blanc
Virginie Boone, Wine Enthusiast, July 2022
“Austere and refined with flavors of lemon peel and grapefruit, this is a tight, textured and concentrated white given time in bottle to develop and strengthen. High-toned acidity keeps it bright in the glass. VIRGINIE BOONE”
