2024 Colomé Estate Torrontés

Kyle Swartz, Beverage Dynamics, April 2025

“The torrontes grape variety has brought Argentinean white winemaking to the world’s attention. This example produced from grapes grown at altitude, is bright, clean and elegant. The nose is complex, with fruit and floral notes, and a long and balanced finish.”

“A brilliant pale gold with green hints, the nose is dominated by an attractive blend of tropical and exotic fruits. The palate echoes the nose, highlighting the quality, with complex and elegant fruit, with a combination of weight and texture, confirming the level of care used to produce this outstanding wine.”

2023 Bruno Giacosa Roero Arneis

Audrey Frick, Jeb Dunnuck, May 2025

“The 2023 Roero Arneis is a bright silver/yellow color, and the nose is fresh and savory, with notes of white peaches, melon rind, lemon oils, and light savory chive notes. Perfectly suited for pairing alongside crudo and vitello tonnato, this medium-bodied white is refreshing and spritely, with a touch of white pepper and a kiss of sweet fruit. It can be enjoyed over the next few years, but it’s so good now while it's fresh, there’s no need to wait.”

2022 Bruno Giacosa Nebbiolo d'Alba Vigna Valmaggiore

Audrey Frick, Jeb Dunnuck, May 2025

“Coming from the sandy soils of Roero, the 2022 Nebbiolo D'Alba Vigna Valmaggiore is a translucent red color and opens to refreshing notes of bright redcurrants, lifted spice, an elegant floral perfume, and tangerine. A medium-bodied, elegant, and refined wine on the palate, with delicate fruity ripeness, it’s fresh and retains a lovely structure. It’s a fruity vintage for this wine, but it has a lovely refreshing acidity. Drink it over the coming 7-8 years, although it’s simply delicious now.”

2019 Bruno Giacosa Barbaresco Asili

Monica Larner, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, August 2023

“With the white label, the 2019 Barbaresco Asili is a wine of exceptional clarity and focus. That brightness is applied to the bouquet and the mouthfeel alike, where the wine feels streamlined, elegant and tight. Asili is redolent of wild fruit, violets and candied orange peel. This wine was bottled in 2021 and needs a few more years in glass before it really starts to unwind and soften.”

2020 Bruno Giacosa Barbaresco Rabajà

Monica Larner, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, January 2025

“The Bruno Giacosa 2020 Barbaresco Rabajà is a little rounder and softer in personality compared to the extremely focused and linear 2021 vintage. This expression awards dark fruit and lovely concentration and has a medium-plus body on the palate. You can't say that it is more accessible, because the wine will require more bottle aging, but there is a softness to the fruit that is immediately pleasing.”

2020 Bruno Giacosa Nebbiolo d'Alba Vigna Valmaggiore

Monica Larner, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, August 2023

“Cherry, bright berry and cassis emerge from the Bruno Giacosa 2020 Nebbiolo d'Alba Vigna Valmaggiore. This is a somewhat looser, more open-knit approach to Nebbiolo that offers a delightful, fruit-forward mouthfeel that is characterized by moments of delicate softness and, alternatively, bright freshness. Blue flowers and violets appear on the close.”

2022 Bruno Giacosa Nebbiolo d'Alba Vigna Valmaggiore

Monica Larner, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, January 2025

“The Bruno Giacosa 2022 Nebbiolo d'Alba Vigna Valmaggiore opens to bright cherry flavors and a pretty ruby color. The wine shows great fruit intensity, and there is a note of candied cherry that really pops in this vintage. It is especially fruity and bright. This is considered a hot vintage, but Bruna Giacosa tells me that it did not spark the same stress levels that vintners suffered in the more challenging 2023 vintage. Harvest occurred on the 4th and 5th of October, before the rain started. The fruit is generous and primary, and the wine ends with mildly chalky tannins.”

2023 Bruno Giacosa Roero Arneis

Monica Larner, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, January 2025

“The Bruno Giacosa 2023 Roero Arneis will be a smaller release due to fruit that was damaged during a hailstorm the first week of July. Nonetheless, this wine remains salty, mineral-driven and bright with citrus and white peach. It is executed in stainless steel only. Perhaps this vintage is a little thinner in terms of mouthfeel, but it draws to a close with lingering acidity. Bruna Giacosa recommends giving it a little oxygen before you drink it. This white wine is always a great value buy.”

2020 Bruno Giacosa Barolo Falletto

James Suckling, James Suckling, August 2024

“The depth and beauty of this are so enticing and attractive that you want to drink the whole bottle. It’s medium- to full-bodied with cherries, strawberries and white truffles. Juicy and precise, with a real presence and complexity as it opens. Best after 2027, but already gorgeous.”

2022 Bruno Giacosa Nebbiolo d'Alba Vigna Valmaggiore

James Suckling, James Suckling, August 2024

“This is very serious for the appellation, with pure cherry, bark and walnut character as well as a hint of dark chocolate. Medium-bodied, firm and focused, with integrated tannins and a long and flavorful finish. More like a Barolo. Great site. Give it a year or two, but it’s already impressive.”

2024 Colomé Estate Torrontés

Jesica Vargas, Wine Enthusiast, July 2025

“Coming from Salta, the land of Torrontés, this wine has a bouquet of white fruits and lemon. Flavors of green apple, stone fruit and herbs, along with optimal acidity, all play a role in making it savory and more than pleasant.”

2022 Colomé Auténtico Malbec

James Suckling, James Suckling, March 2023

“Pure, lush blackberries, blueberries, crushed violets, dried herbs and graphite. This is so vibrant and bright and shows the innate beauty of the fruit. The juicy, medium- to full-bodied palate unleashes firm, fruit tannins. Fine-grained and long. Delicious now, but can hold, too.”

2022 Colomé Auténtico Malbec

Joaquín Hidalgo, Vinous, February 2024

“The 2022 Malbec Colomé Autentico, from the upper valleys in Molinos, Calchaquí Valley, spent ten months aging in 85% tanks and 15% concrete eggs. Dark purple, it exudes black fruit aromas, herbal tones and chutney-like notes, with a sun-kissed, overripe character. Orange peel notes emerge with time in the glass. Dry and rich, the lightly-structured tannins and juicy flow lead to an easygoing, long-lasting finish. This is a crystal-clear high-altitude red.”

2019 Colomé Altura Máxima Malbec

Tim Atkin, Tim Atkin, June 2022

“Made with fruit from what is now the second highest vineyard in the world, with grapes grown between 2,900 and 3,111 metres, this amazing Malbec has established itself as one of Argentina’s very best reds. Dipping below 15% alcohol for the first time - the result of earlier picking - it’s plush, perfumed and alluring, with fine 25% new wood, detailed tannins, racy acidity and layers of plum, violet and bramble. World class. 2024-35”

2019 Colomé Altura Máxima Malbec

Joaquín Hidalgo, Vinous, February 2024

“The 2019 Malbec Altura Maxima originates from a vineyard planted at 3,111 meters in the Payogasta area of the Calchaquí Valley. This intense red wine, with its purple hue, reveals notes of blackberry, balsamic and bay leaf. Dry and compact, it draws overpowering energy from its acidity and rich balance, culminating in a distinctive and flavorful finish. This is a concentrated red crafted from vines at extremely high altitude.”

2019 Colomé Altura Máxima Malbec

James Suckling, James Suckling, March 2022

“Lots of depth here, with blackberries, asphalt, wet-stone minerality and savory, roasted spice. A concentrated, brooding red with lots of ripeness, but still juicy. Wrapped by powdery and dusty tannins. If it weren’t for the hint of warmth at the end, this would have rated higher. Has potential, though. Better after 2024.”

2022 Colomé Estate Malbec

Jacobo Garcia-Andrade Llamas, James Suckling, March 2025

“This shows aromas of asphalt, dark fruit, cured meat, thyme and dried herbs. The palate is full-bodied and succulent, balanced by bright acidity and polished tannins. Dark berry flavors follow through to a rich, firm finish that is lifted by a refreshing backbone of acidity. Drink now or hold.”

2021 Donnafugata Sul Vulcano Etna Bianco

James Suckling, James Suckling, July 2024

“A gourmet wine with structure. Intense and smoky, this shows jasmine, green apples and yellow peaches. The palate is vibrant, electric and fresh with an almost tannic texture. Zesty and mineral, it’s just a bit leaner on the finish. Drink or hold.”

2021 Donnafugata Sul Vulcano Etna Bianco

Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2024

“The 2021 Etna Bianco Sul Vulcano is intense, smoldering up with a blend of flinty crushed stones, sweet mint, apricots and hints of sage. This is soft and round with brisk acidity and mineral-laced orchard fruits that cascade across the palate, taking on a suggestion of sour citrus toward the close. The Sul Vulcano is a fantastic option for entry-level Etna Bianco, and having tasted the 2016 alongside, I can attest that this will mature beautifully.”
