Tasting Notes
Intense and concentrated, with classic pepper and spice aromas, big and rich on the palate with excellent length.
Vintage Notes
2020 commenced with a mild, dry winter. Temperatures dropped significantly in March and care was needed in the vineyard to prevent frost damage to the vines. Summer was dry and mild with the steady weather conditions until the end of August, when the region saw some bouts of rainfall. However, the weather calmed during September and the 2020 harvest gave excellent results both in terms of quality and quantity.
Winemaking Notes
Fermented in stainless steel tanks, 10% in contact with stems. It ages in barriques for one year, in a ratio of one third new oak, one third second use, one third third use, plus two years more in bottle.
Vineyard Notes
This vineyard covers 3.5 hectares and is planted on soils of marly shists with a south/southwestern exposition at an altitude of 350–400 m.

Vintage Notes
A mild and relatively dry winter and early spring allowed a regular budding.Some rains during the second half of spring prepared the terrain for a classic summer with only little rain, characterized by regular, warm temperatures with very few extreme peaks. Bunches were in excellent health which resulted in a generous yield, both in terms of quality and quantity.
Harvest Notes
Selected and picked by hand in mid-September.
Winemaking Notes
AGING: 18 months in 225-liter French barrels (25% new oak)

SOIL: Mostly clay-slate (galestro) with some limestone and occasionally sandstone
ELEVATION: 330–400 meters (1,083–1,312 feet) above sea level
DENSITY: 2,800–5,000 vines/hectare (1,134–2,024 vines/acre)

VINE AGE: 25–42 years old
TRAINING: Guyot with some spur-pruned cordon
