Vineyard Notes
The Russian River Valley is a benchmark appellation for cool-climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in California. Its proximity to the Pacific Ocean, consistent morning fog, and well-drained Goldridge soils make it ideal for producing wines with freshness, texture, and site expression. Our owner, Steve Dutton, is part of a family-farming legacy that dates back six generations that planted one of the first Chardonnay vineyards here in 1964 and has since become one of Sonoma County’s most respected farming families. This wine is meant to highlight the best, typicity and approachability of the Russian River Valley offering both stylistic flexibility and strong value.
