2021 Susana Balbo Signature Barrel Fermented Torrontés

James Suckling, James Suckling, March 2022

“This has aromas of peaches, jasmine, salted lemons, white grapefruit and crushed stones. Medium-bodied with bright acidity and a vibrant, layered palate. Fresh and perfumed with pretty floral notes, yet mineral, too. No oak notes, though it was barrel-fermented. Layered and elegant with a long, delicious finish. Drink now. Screw cap.”

2018 Nosotros Single Vineyard Nómade Malbec

Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, March 2021

“The 2018 Nosotros Single Vineyard Nómade Malbec was sourced from their vineyard in Gualtallary, but each year it can be sourced from different vineyards, hence the nómade in the name. It fermented in a 6,500-liter oak vat with indigenous yeasts and had a 30- to 35-day maceration time, then matured in French oak barrels, 80% of them new, for 16 months. This is aromatic and floral and seems to have absorbed the oak quite well. It has notes of wild herbs, spices and violets, and on the palate, it comes through as textured with chalky and fine-grained tannins. It finishes with clean and precise flavors, dry and supple. This is superb, and while it's already approachable, it should continue growing in bottle. 11,000 bottles were filled in August 2019.”
