Dutton-Goldfield Appoints Folio

Sebastopol, CA— Wednesday, January 31, 2018 — Iconic Russian River Valley producer, Dutton-Goldfield, has appointed Folio Fine Wine Partners as its national sales and marketing partner, effective February 1. The appointment marks the producer’s first national distribution agreement and is the first Sonoma producer to join the respected national importer, expanding their domestic wine portfolio.

Commenting on the partnership, Founder and Winemaker Dan Goldfield said:

“I am thrilled to join with Folio Fine Wine Partners. Since we founded Dutton-Goldfield in 1998 our business has been based upon knowing our land, our vineyards, our neighborhood, and our customers. My first job in the wine industry was with Robert Mondavi Winery in 1985, where I first met Michael. Our outlooks on our business, and our wine country home, are wonderfully aligned. I am excited about what this partnership does for Dutton-Goldfield’s potential in the national market. We will continue to offer our prestige wines to our trade partners and customers across the US.”

Folio Co-Founder Michael Mondavi echoed the sentiment, stating:

“Dutton-Goldfield is our first foray into the Russian River Valley and complements our presence with our own Napa Valley wines produced under Michael Mondavi Family Estate. As we look to expand our domestic branded business, Dutton-Goldfield represents exactly the quality of producer we are proud to represent and put on the tables of our families and friends. I worked with Dan 30 years ago at Robert Mondavi Winery; it’s great to be working together again and we are excited for the tremendous growth opportunity that is ahead.”

Founded in 1998 by grape grower Steve Dutton and winemaker Dan Goldfield, Dutton-Goldfield’s mission is to produce world-class wines that express the personalities of their vineyards from our cool coastal home.

Folio will represent the Dutton Ranch Pinot Noir (SRP $45), and Dutton Ranch Chardonnay (SRP $40) and a selection of the limited-production, single-vineyard wines, including: Rued Vineyard Chardonnay (SRP $60), Walker Hill Vineyard Chardonnay (SRP $60), Emerald Ridge Pinot Noir (SRP $65), Fox Den Vineyard Pinot Noir (SRP $65), and Cherry Ridge Vineyard Syrah (SRP $50). Wines are available nationally through fine wine restaurants and retail outlets across the US.

Dutton-Goldfield is an independent, locally owned winery located in the town of Sebastopol in the Russian River Valley. The winery was launched on a handshake in 1998 when grape grower Steve Dutton and winemaker Dan Goldfield teamed up to produce site-driven wines from the Dutton family’s 80 sustainably farmed vineyards and other cold coastal properties in Northern California. While the winery specializes in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Dan and Steve also vinify small quantities of Syrah, Zinfandel, Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Gewürztraminer. Every Dutton-Goldfield wine is balanced, structured, complex and age worthy.
