Diego Meraviglia

Diego Meraviglia is a seasoned sommelier, educator, and wine executive with more than two decades of experience in the U.S. luxury wine market. Born and raised in Northern Piemonte, Italy, Diego brings a global perspective shaped by living and working across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America.

A founding member of the North American Sommelier Association, Diego holds advanced credentials from the Court of Master Sommeliers, the Society of Wine Educators, and the Associazione Italiana Sommeliers. He is an award-winning educator, published author, and highly respected public speaker, recognized internationally for innovation in the sommelier profession.

From 2017 to 2021, Diego served as U.S. Brand Ambassador for Dom Pérignon, leading national education initiatives, trade engagement, and immersive brand experiences. This role further deepened his expertise in Champagne terroir, precision winemaking, and prestige cuvée storytelling. His career also includes senior commercial leadership positions such as National Sales Director for Monte Xanic, giving him a well-rounded perspective across brand building, sales, and education.

Multilingual in Italian, French, and Spanish, Diego is known for translating the complexity of Champagne into compelling, memorable experiences for both the trade and consumer. Based in Malibu, California, he lives with his wife Simona and their son. Outside of wine, Diego is a longtime rock drummer, avid traveler, and passionate foodie.
