A lovely pale salmon pink color and a fine floral profile, with delicate hints of nuts. In the mouth, its freshness and juicy acidity are in perfect combination with flavors of currants and strawberries. It has very good balance and structure. Due to its pleasant tension on the palate it can be enjoyed by itself or with meals.

"Altamira’s high elevation big, stony vineyards and desert climate with abundance of sunlight adds to the personality of the Malbec grown there. The blend of 60% Malbec and 40% Pinot Noir is quite a duo and this textural beauty, sourced from over 3800 feet above sea level, shows both structure and grace. Its light onion skin hue may look pale, but the jasmine, rose petals and woodsy perfume defines a stronger character. Clean with an underlying chalky minerality, its fresh notes of watermelon, white flowers and strawberries strike a chord with crackling acidity. Nervy and delicious."

"The very pale 2017 Susana Balbo Rosé is produced with 60% Malbec and 40% Pinot Noir. In reality, this is more of a white in terms of the aromatic and flavor profile. It's super fresh, light and agile, with notes of flowers, a vibrant palate and delicious flavors. It's really refreshing and should work wonderfully with food. Truly delicious. I think this should develop nicely for a few years in bottle. It's a lot more complex and serious than your average rosé. 40,000 bottles produced."

"The best rosé in Argentina? Either way, this is super-fresh and pure with more floral and candied citrus notes than red berries plus a stunning balance of racy acidity and mineral freshness. Made from malbec and pinot noir. Drink now."

"There is also a 2016 Susana Balbo Rosé following the style of the wines from Provence, harvesting early, with a light pressing to obtain a pale must and using grapes from the Valle de Uco. 2016 broke all the rules about vintages in Mendoza, and it resulted in a very light and fresh rosé produced as a blend of Malbec with 40% Pinot Noir with the faintest trace of sugar and very good acidity and freshness. Its profile reminded me more of a white than a rosé, and it certainly has nothing to do with your average rosé. This is a serious rosé, with clean aromas and a sharp, fresh and very dry palate. This is one of the most impressive rosés I remember from Argentina. 24,000 bottles produced."
