Area Sales Manager, New York and Partner
My first adventure with wine began in 2009, when after 8 years in fine dining I took a job as a cellar assistant at the small bistro where I was working. During this time I was able to work under the team of Sommeliers that allowed me the privilege of picking their brains about every bottle of wine I put away. I parlayed that into an Assistant Sommelier position and after completing coursework with both the American Sommelier Association and Court of Master Sommeliers, I took a job as a Sommelier at a well known restaurant in Manhattan. There I worked my way up to be the Head Sommelier and in 2012 I was honored to be the recipient of Wine Spectator’s Grand Award.
People often ask me how I got into wine and the truth is that I had been training for it my entire life without knowing it. My studies of language, culture, geography, history, and science were all prerequisites to being a professional in the wine industry.
Today, I am proud to be a part of the finest collection of family owned properties in the world.
