Market Sales Manager, Metro New York

I was born and raised in a little town in the Appennini mountains nearby Parma.

Growing up on a farm with animals and just surrounded by nature was the best! Raw milk and fresh eggs every morning directly from our animals, fresh vegetable from the garden, wild fruits, berries, mushrooms and truffles from the nearby meadows and forests.

This type of childhood definitely made a big impact on me as a person and also on my palate. Today as then, I still like to explore the world in search of new flavors and to get the best that nature can offer, wine is definitely one of these things!

My first memories related to wine are also related to my childhood, when I was helping my grandfather bottling. He used to drive to Piemonte and buy demijohns of his favorites Barbera and Dolcetto. Once home he used to bottle the wine himself and I was in charge of the corks. The smell and the taste of those wines in the family cellar are still vivid in my memory.

I moved to the nearby city of Parma to continue my studies and there I got to discover the fascinating world of hospitality and fine dining. There was the time when my love for wines & spirits begun. I enjoyed bartending and working in restaurants during my college time. Even prior graduating from college I became partner in the wine bar where I was working, and once I got my master degree in business administration and economics I opened and ran two more restaurants. It was a great and successful experience. In 2007 I sold my business and I moved to New York City. Once here I got the opportunity to work as Brand Ambassador Sambuca Molinari. During that period I developed the passion for sales and distribution of wine & spirits. This business is interesting and exciting, and it attracts fascinating, passionate people. Ten years after and with few different experiences working for suppliers and distributors I’m still in love with this industry.

I couldn’t be more proud and honored to have joined the Folio team in April 2017 as the New York Metro Market Sales Manager. I am excited to be a part of a team that is truly passionate, energetic and dedicated to producing and representing the finest collection of family owned properties in the world.

As an Italian I’m also trilled of being responsible for the Marchesi de Frescobaldi wines. Another great family that focus on making amazing wines in the respect of nature and safeguarding the biodiversity of Tuscany.

As soon as I have chance I still love to get out of the city and explore the country side searching for local products and to get lost into nature. Biking, hiking and skiing have always been my favorite hobbies
