I acquired a passion for the food and beverage industry at a very young age. Running around my grandfather’s restaurant “Chicken Galore”, and watching him conduct business, instilled a drive in me to become involved in every aspect of the industry.
Focusing on the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management, I graduated with my bachelor’s from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. I left with the drive to continue my education and, with a small group of CIA graduates, expanded my studies in Chengdu and Beijing, China. While in the very beginning of my career I worked in the kitchen, I soon discovered that my true passion lay in the front of the house where I could take care of guests, as well as be able to express and share my love for food and wine. For the following twelve years, I would come to obtain my introductory Sommelier certification as well as travel the west coast exploring its finest wineries, run Zagat-rated restaurants, design and open new establishments, and grow in my field.
It was my passion for wine, knowledge, and desire for new experiences that led me to the distributor side of the industry where I have worked for the past 3 years. I joined Folio in October of 2020 and I’m very excited to work with such a dynamic and passionate team, all while representing some of the world’s best wine producers.
In my free time, I love cooking, beach days, paddle boarding, and road trips with my beautiful wife, Lisa, and pup, Laycie.
