Accolades

Hangtime wines owe a good deal of their quality to the extensive “hang time” given to the grapes, which yields impressive notes that critics have applauded.

  • Wine and Spirits awarded the Hangtime 2004 Pinot Noir with 87 points.  In an article, the magazine pointed out to readers, “If good, cheap Pinot Noir is your holy grail, look no further.  This spicy elixir of berries, pepper and peppermint is as light in color as it is light and pretty in taste.  It finished with pungency to lift the flavors of grilled fish with sun-dried tomato pasta." (April 2006)

  • The city of Santa Rosa, located in the heart of Sonoma County wine country, often rates wine in The Press Democrat, the local newspaper.  Hangtime’s 2003 Chardonnay was given four stars and was described as, “A lovely Chardonnay, with a nice blend of citrus and tropical fruit. Notes of melon, kiwi, pear and apple." (October 2005)
