Accolades
Cims de Porrera has received a great deal of attention in the wine industry, with especially high scores given by some of the most prestigious publications.
- Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate gave the Cims de Porrera 2001 Classic 94 points. The review stated, “Notes of bay leaves, thyme, spice box, graphite, black currants and cherries are present in this vibrant, cooler climate-styled Priorat. With medium to full body, excellent density, and firm tannin, it should be at its apogee between 2007 and 2014. It is a stunning wine.” (October 2006)
- Wine Spectator also rated the Cims de Porrera 2002 Priorat Solanes 89 points, with the description, “Cherry, mountain herb, licorice and black pepper flavors mingle in this chewy red. Has muscular tannins and a thick texture that stays fresh through the sweet, juicy finish. Carignane, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Drink now through 2010.” (2006)
- The Cims de Porrera 2001 Classic scored 91 points in Wine Spectator, earning it the praise, “Ripe, almost roasted, with black cherry, wild herb, licorice and black pepper notes. Has rich, round tannins and good concentration, but remains balanced and generous, with a spicy finish. Best after 2004.” (2003)
