Danzante

Danzante is the Italian word for dancing, and these wines evoke the breathless, carefree feeling of dance with each sip. Danzante wines (www.danzantewines.com) make up the third tier of the Luce/Lucente partnership between two renowned winemaking families: Marchesi de' Frescobaldi of Tuscany and Michael Mondavi of California. Like dancing, these wines are meant to be enjoyed with family, friends and laughter--food is their natural dance partner.

Danzante's wines are sourced from wine regions throughout Italy. The Pinot Grigio comes from the Tre Venezie region, which includes Veneto, Alto Adige, and Friuli. The high altitudes, cool summers and warm Adriatic currents of the Tre Venezie develop intensely perfumed Pinot Grigio with a silky texture. The Sangiovese and Chianti come from Le Marche, where hillside vineyards, rich clay soil and a temperate climate yield Sangiovese with perfectly balanced fruit and acidity. The Merlot comes from Sicily, where densely planted vines in Agrigento develop wine with intense flavors and a smooth mouthfeel.

The wines of Danzante have approachable, fruit-forward character that allows them to pair with a wide variety of dishes. They have received impressive critical acclaim, with a recent rave from the Wine Enthusiast naming the refreshing Danzante Pinot Grigio as one of its recommended Best Buys.

Enjoy Danzante at your next Spaghettata di Mezzanotte, or midnight spaghetti party—and don’t be surprised when the dancing breaks out.
