Area Sales Manager, Mid-Atlantic Region
I was literally born into the hospitality industry, as my family has always been a part of it. Today, almost every member of my immediate family is a part of the industry. I suppose there was never really a question that I would end up in the industry but really a question of where in the industry I would end up.
Working as a server while attending college I started to develop a passion for wine. After graduating from Johnson & Wales with a BA in Marketing, I continued my restaurant career working as assistant general manager. I then took a leap of faith to the distribution side. It was here that I cut my teeth. I worked for a large distributor selling wine but mostly spirits. I soon realized that this was not where I wanted to be in the wine industry. I took a year break from distribution and had an opportunity to be a part of highly anticipated Italian restaurant opening in Denver Colorado. My appreciation and passion for Italian wine blossomed further as the wine director. I then continued my career in the wine industry working for a family owned distributor in Denver. Working as a sales associate and later as the director of the On-Premise division I had the opportunity to work with primarily family owned wineries. This experience helped me to identify what type of company I was looking to work for in the wine industry.
Wine has become a very important part of my life. Wine is something that typically is enjoyed with friends and family and is always a part of celebrations, holidays or just catching up with an old friend. As my passion grew I found myself looking for an opportunity to work for a company that only represented family owned wineries. It was a great pleasure to be offered a position with Folio Fine Wine Partners in February of 2013.
I feel truly fortunate to work with a family owned company that shares my commitment to family owned wineries.
