40 years of Napa Valley Roots - Napa Valley native and Oberon winemaker, Tony Coltrin, brings more than 40 years of winemaking experience to Oberon, with expertise in knowing where to source quality fruit from the best vineyards in the valley and in understanding the region's uniqueness for growing classic Bordeaux varieties.
Premier sub-appellation sourcing - Tony selects Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc grapes from throughout Napa Valley's finest winegrowing regions, including Rutherford, Atlas Peak, Wooden Valley, and our own Oso Vineyard in Pope Valley. By blending fruit from Napa's volcanic hillside soils and the deeper alluvial soils of the valley floor, Tony accomplished his goal of crafting outstanding wines that balance rich, complex flavors with natural acidity.
Oberon Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic Napa Valley style wine with deep, rich color and concentrated dark berry and cassis flavors. The Merlot is wonderfully complex, with layers of lush fruit flavors of plum and black currants. The Sauvignon Blanc has bright natural acidity with layered fresh flavors of green apple, tart kiwi, pear and melon.
Consistent Quality Fruit – with more than 40 years of Napa Valley wine experience, Tony has long-standing relationships with local growers throughout the valley to ensure consistent, quality fruit sourcing, guaranteeing Oberon's quality at an exceptional value. It is these relationships that make Oberon a premier Napa Valley wine.
