Vermentino, a variety cultivated in the Mediterranean basin since ancient times, is the best white grape interpretation of the virgin territory of the Tuscan coast. The Vermentino Ammiraglia, is a lovely, intense straw -yellow colour, surprising for its floral and candied-fruit notes, as well as for its intriguing minerality. The palate reveals body and persistence.
GRAPE VARIETY Vermentino
TASTING NOTES Vermentino Ammiraglia 2013 is a pale gold-yellow with brilliant topaz hues. The floral notes on the nose are enveloping: jasmine and hawthorn. Fresh with hints of fresh and candied citrus, pear, linden honey and raw almonds. The palate is fresh and flavourful; the freshness supported by a full body. The finish is dominated by fruity aromas. Tasted by Sergio Di Loreto, March 2014
SERVING SUGGESTIONS It is perfect with fish and shellfish, with pasta timbales and vegetable-based dishes.
