Terre More, a careful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah, is a rich, intense wine that is modern in style yet eloquently expressive of the growing area it represents.
VINTAGE REPORT During the month of August two verified climatic events of extraordinary importance took place which shaped the characteristics of the grapes by force of the natural elements. The first half of August was characterized by sunny days, with daytime temperatures never above 30°C, and very cold nights. In the second part of August the strength of the sun gave power and concentration to the red grapes as Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. The final result is that we have obtained white grapes in perfect health, mature, rich in the precursors of aroma and with a good acidity; and red grapes of extraordinary health, mature, concentrated and rich in polyphenols.
GRAPE VARIETY Cabernet Sauvignon 70% ,Cabernet Franc 15%, Merlot 10%, Syrah 5%
TASTING NOTES Terre More 2011 has an intense purple-red colour, clean but impenetrable. The first olfactory sensation is characterized by bright scents of dark berries such as blueberry and black currant, with sweet notes of cherry and blackberry. Very fresh and spicy with hints of green peppercorn, tobacco, liquorice and bitter almond. Beautiful tannin texture, very fine and silky. Lengthy finish with a pleasing taste -olfactory correspondence. Tasted by Sergio di Loreto in November 2012.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS Grilled meats, first courses of pasta with meat sauce or tomato sauce. Four cheese pizza.
